WEEK THREE MINGLE
ᯓ⭐ WEEK THREE MINGLE
Happy third week, lovebirds! Here's to hoping you're riding high on the wave of success of one whole pair being correct! Surely you must have an idea by now how to win this thing!
Probably?
The good news is that you're not going to have to find yourselves in any weird clothes this time around, except maybe that just leads to a strange sense of foreboding for a future scenario...? Who knows. You can't quite brace yourself for it this time.
But don't worry, it's not like there's nothing happening. On the contrary!
For the entirety of this week, you'll find yourself feeling... clingy. It's going to start feeling very strange if you're not leaning on someone, holding their hand, cuddling with them, sitting in their lap, stealing a kiss, or engaging in some other form of affectionate physical contact. And if it's someone you're already feeling fond of OR someone you actually can't stand, guess what?
That feeling is doubled!
You may realize this is an unusual feeling, but so what? Trying to ignore it is only going to make it feel stronger and do you really want to make yourselves feel miserable?
Shut up, masochists.

And what of yourself? Anything to share?

you guys banging over there?]Let's see... It has to be something I don't mind getting back to Garreg Mach. Oh, I know. I use my colleague's books as a lunch tray sometimes because I know it bothers him.

She does chuckle at that, though.]
There is a teacher at my own school who does much the same. Equally because it bothers his colleague, I believe.

He's such a fuddy-duddy! Just an old geezer with a real stick up his... [Ahem.] Sure, the first couple of times it might have happened on accident, but once I realized how it got to him... [It was still mostly on accident. And a little out of spite.]

[Of course!! Healthy rivalries and friendships between professors is important!!]
It strikes me that I have never asked you about your role as a professor. Do you enjoy it? What is it you teach?

[Manuela chuckles. Before she came here, no one had ever quite gotten under Manuela's skin like that. She can't imagine being at the academy without him.]
Hanneman and I and our new professor friend are each in charge of one House at the Officers Academy, separated by region of origin. There's specialist training in various weapons and subjects, of course, but for the most part we take charge of their learning. History, strategy, leadership... you might say we draw out their innate talents and share some of our own, like swordsmanship.

My. Your Officers Academy sounds a fair bit like the Campus I oversee.
[That's exciting! She had no idea.]
You must have a fair amount of skill then, given you are teaching the next generation all of these things. I wouldn't mind seeing for myself sometime--if you are not opposed.

And yet, nothing about that is wrong, either.]
Is it? How exciting! If only we could have met at the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, our mock field. I'm sure your students would give us a run for our money.
... Though, I wasn't able to participate this year because of my injury, so maybe another time.

[ALAS...]
Another time, then. I would love to see how my students would do against students of another world's school.
[And, firmly:]
We should organize a field trip after all of this.

[Manuela hits Aurelia with a chipper little wink. Some kind of septic fallout would be a miserable and dissatisfying end to the illustrious life of the Divine Songstress.]
A field trip? You're that eager to stay in touch after this is all said and done, are you?
no subject
[IT'S... STUDENT ENRICHMENT.]
Besides, I enjoy your company and would not be interested in losing that so soon.
no subject
Well, that sounds like a treat. I've about had it up to here with this place, and I'm ready to leave it all behind me, but your company isn't part of that.
