[And just like that, it's happening. Phoenix is slightly tilted to his side, as much as his back will currently allow, while allowing his head to face Maruki, primely positioned to receive the kiss. He moves his lips to kiss back before their parting. He may have done a bit of kissing here on the show, but otherwise he hasn't really done this in years. He feels a warmth greater than he thought he'd feel at the bottom of this well, and a rush of energy he hasn't felt in a long time.

He lays there smiling softly in the aftermath of the kiss, awaiting the verdict.]

[But that's likely falling on false ears, so he turns his attention back to Maruki. Feeling a little embarrassed after those results! Phoenix clasps his hand while trying to get back up to his feet.]

Thanks. [He blinks as something clicks for him.] Wait. W-we have to get back up too??
