Today, you will find those signs from last week all over the castle, big red arrows, bright blinking arrows, bold black arrows, all leading you down a corridor to That Golden Door Again.

And there's the sign!

ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK (10 Points per Scenario Completion)

Should you choose to enter, you'll find yourself in the role of a fairy-tale character! All of the classics, maybe some you've never heard before, but it's the same as before. Sort of. You're now in an outfit befitting of your character, the NPCs still have cursed Riri Voices, and some of you may be... well, stuck in some predicaments! Some of you might even have changed forms entirely!

So why not help your homies out? Why not give them a Happily Ever After?

Because you still can't olly out until you get through a scenario, even if that means waiting for someone to kiss you. :)

Once you've achieved a scenario, thinking of leaving the setting entirely will get you back in the castle.

Among the list of scenarios are the following, though players are welcome to also come up with their own:

- Attend The Ball with someone
- Safely make it to Grandmother's House
- Escape the Witch's Candy House
- Free Rapunzel from her tower
- Kiss the sleeping princess
- Kiss the frog
- Just Fucking Kiss
- Perform an underwater musical! (You can breathe, it's fine)

You can act out the scenarios pertaining to your roles or you know what, maybe Red Riding Hood was evil all along and the Fairy Godmother decided to do a dramatic sword fight, we're not here to judge.

That door again.

Yukong really has little reason to step through and subject herself to some other absurd scenario, though she is relieved to find that they haven't been forced into any outfits this time. The unexpected need to cling onto other people seems to be the only ill effect they've suffered this week.

She stands before the golden door, arms crossed, tail flicking, when someone else steps up. With a sigh, she gives them a quick once-over and then announces: ] I'd be willing to step inside with you, if you need assistance with some points.

[ She won't benefit from the indignity that lays ahead, but she could help someone else. Given that her tongue has been twisted for any actual discussion, it appears this is all she can do to assist. Which is the only reason she's offering. Maybe younger people would enjoy this sort of immersia, but she finds it rather tedious. ]

[ uroko eventually follows the arrows out of curiosity, though he's regarding the door blankly. he gives yukong a small nod. ]

I still don't see the use of competing for points, unless you're Martin Brenner.

[ After last week's memory sharing, Maruki hadn't quite had the spirit to step into the scenario room, but this week, he's motivated to redeem himself. Surely, whatever is waiting for him can't be any more mortifying than others witnessing his worst moments while he was stuck in a skimpy nurse outfit, right...?

...So anyway, he's stuck in a tower now, and once again finds himself in a dress, with yards and yards of hair piled next to him as he leans out over the windowsill. ]

Oh, you have got to be kidding me...

[ Rescue him, please. ]

[Alternatively, Little Red Riding Brenner stands at the bottom of the stone tower, craning his neck up to get a glance at the good doctor.]

Stuck all the way up there? [-he calls up, rather uselessly at the moment. Need help? Are you willing to accept help from this guy? :) ]

[Phoenix's carriage comes to a stop right outside the tower. He steps out in his full Cinderella dress while looking around and calling out loudly.]

Hello?! Do I have the right place? I'm here for the ball!

[Sleeping Beauty somehow strayed from his own tower (he used a door) and is now seated on a rock near the base of Maruki's, also in a dress and wholly oblivious to the latter's predicament as he yawns. If only he could get some sleep . . . Oh, the irony.

He is, however, very much within earshot if Maruki would like to try his luck, because it's just the two of them in this particular scenario.]

[Finally, an actual prince arrives to rescue Maruki from his suffering. The prince is Manuela, unfortunately, but for someone who's worn many gowns throughout her life, the tights, tunic, and light fancy armor suit her surprisingly well.

She stops at the base of his tower, crosses her arms rougishly, and leans against the stone(? It feels real, but what a pain). When she lays eyes on the captive princess, there's really no stopping the laugh that slips out. He just looks so put-upon.]

Now, who could be keeping such a fair and beautiful man as yourself captive up there? [She can't help but hit him with a teasing jab, either.] They're depriving the world of your light and beauty!

[ When Maruki looks out the window, he'll see Lin ... sitting at the bottom of the tower. Ungracefully. Most importantly: with a big mermaid tail folded underneath her. She does what she can to get a good look at him from her vantage point, leaning back on one hand and shielding her eyes with another. ]

What, I'm supposed to get you out of there from here? Like this?

[ "Free Rapunzel from her tower?" WHO IS RAPUNZEL ]

[ ... unfortunately, all maruki gets is "prince charming at home," because manuela prince charming is otherwise occupied. this means there's no sweet lines of reassurance or anything particularly loving. in fact, maybe the way oz just flies up to the window of the tower (rapunzel? never knew her) with a blank expression is a little bit intimidating.

I. Swan 🦢

[ By the lake there is a swan with markings that should be familiar to anyone who has seen her crane form in person or in her memories. She can be found swimming on the water's surface or hanging out nearby, resting or walking around to examine the area.

Being a bird is not much of an issue for Xianyun; her adeptus form is a crane. Swans are very different birds, of course (her legs are so short!), but she can manage well enough.

Aside from one small, almost insignificant detail: in this form, she cannot speak. All she can do is make swan noises at passers-by. ]


II. Princess 👑

[ After night falls and the moon comes out, Xianyun is transformed into a human form so long as she remains on the water. On and not in; she floats atop the water as if it were solid thanks to the magic of storytelling. While it's nice to be able to communicate normally again, the outfit she's wearing is almost as great an indignity.

She'll hail anyone who approaches the lake. ]

Don't laugh.

[ Ahem. ]

It would seem that one has something of an unusual predicament in this scenario and requires some assistance.


III. Wildcard ✨

(( Do you want a swan crashing your dramatic fight between good and evil? Or maybe we can dive under the ocean and hang out with some singing mermaids. I'm up for anything, just hit me up. ))

[At her lakeside, Little Red Riding Hood stands and watches the interestingly patterned swan making noises at him.

Actually, it is very obviously just Brenner dressed in a Little Red Riding Hood costume, deep crimson cloak and blue dress included, but at least this is less ridiculous of an outfit than last week's. If barely.

Anyhow, he arches a brow, holding onto the handle of his basket in front of him with both hands.]

Sorry. Are you trying to tell me something?

[Still straying from his tower, Mithra, clad in a dress, stands at the edge of the lake with a dazed look about him. Why is he here again? Movement on the water's surface catches his attention, and then his gaze falls and lingers on the swan . . .

. . . when he feels a slight pang in his stomach.]

[Though he's donned Little Red Riding Hood's signature red hooded cloak, so lengthy that it envelops his plain blue dress, this is still a large improvement over his sexy nurse outfit from last week.

Easier on his pride, easier to play out. Who doesn't know the tale? It seems the setting's accommodated him to boot: a shadowed forest with tall trees stands all around him, gnarled branches interconnecting to create a gloomy canopy. Before him awaits a long, winding dirt trail that tapers off into the unseen distance.

Ever unperturbed and holding his basket of... undeterminate foodstuffs (he hasn't checked what's in here yet) in one hand, Brenner catches the attention of the nearest person.]

The forest is so big, I think I'm a little lost today. Can you help me find the way to my... grandmother's house?

[ Not the nearest person, actually, but a little froggy peeking out from his picnic basket of mystery foodstuffs. Maybe Red should have checked what - or who - was in there... ]

Grandmother's house? Oh, yes, I know the way.

[ . . . ]

Hi! Down here. Yoo-hoo!

[ Waving her lil froggy leg! ]

[Phoenix very reluctantly passes through the door. Last week's deliberations were a reminder of the value of points. He may have been able to reach a compromise that time, but there's still a chance that in the future, a deliberation could come down to points.

And so here's your Cinderella! Srarting off as the cleaning blyy, he dresses in drab clothes and gets to work scrubbing things down without question. He can be be found cleaning and doing other mundane chores around his home - and may even find himself cleaning around someone else's area!

Then later on, after his transformation, it's time for Phoenix to wear a dress again. But at least this one's relatively easier to move around in? The glass slippers take some getting used to. He sets off on his horse-drawn carriage composed of various vegetation and local creatures, but it might make some wrong stops along the way, taking him to places like a witch's candy house or a the forest where Grandma lives!

Or find him at the ball itself! Mingle? Dance? Swordfight? Whichever! Just beware the stroke of midnight...]

Well! I've never seen such a beautiful princess in my kingdom. You must be a stranger from a far-off land.

[At the ball, surprisingly extravagant and luxurious, Prince Charming Manuela waits to meet no small number of Riri-voiced suitors, all vying for her hand in marriage. Her emerald green and white royal finery matches the ballroom decor. She bows to the complete stranger and offers her hand.]

Frankly, you'd put any princess I played during my Opera career to shame.

[The scene is a castle wrapped in thorns. Inside an opulent room that's lost its luster to the passage of time, Mithra sleeps comfortably with his arms wrapped around one of the many pillows on the bed. It's perhaps the most peaceful and well-rested he's looked since arriving at the other castle's doorsteps.

He stirs when someone draws near—not because he's on the cusp of waking, but because of an urge in his heart. Once they're within his range, he rolls over, abandoning the pillow, and loops his arms around anywhere he can blindly reach to drag them into bed with him. He holds onto them as a child would a teddy bear while he slumbers on, blissfully unaware of everything around him.]

[ nice try, but there's no body to pull into the bed with him, because his visitor is a FROG!! ]

Ribbit.

[ How did the frog prince get here? Don't worry about it. Enjoy something slimy in your hands instead, Mithra... ]

Stepmother

[Are you locked in a tower? Has Zhongli married your now dead Riri father? Then he's your stepmother now. And striking a fit so fine. (Source here!) And he has a great many things for you to do before you can go to this ball of yours.]

There's a large carpet in the main hall, you will need to clean it. And the windows upstairs and down will need to be washed. Oh yes, and the tapestries and the draperies. And don't forget the garden. Then scrub the terrace, sweep the halls and the stairs, clean the chimneys. And of course there's the mending and the sewing and the laundry. Oh yes, and one more thing: see that the cat gets his bath.

[Did you get all that? Good. Because he will be watching very carefully so you better hop to it.]

Queen!

[Hello. dearest princesses and princes or heroes and stalwart knights. Whatever you may be playing in this production. He's also on the bill for the evil queen who has a penchant for making poisoned apples. (Fit check.) He's got bunches of red delicious looking poisoned apples.]

Well, these aren't any ordinary apples. They're magic wishing apples. A single bite and all your dreams will come true.

[Biting into the apple will put you into a death like state that can only be broken with true love's kiss.]

Stepmother

[Phoenix is currently dressed in old, drab clothes, frowning as he takes in that long list of chores.

(Jeez, I don't work Apollo this hard. ...Do I?)]

Is that all. [He responds dryly.] What about the toilet? Shouldn't that be cleaned too?

[His instinct is always to inquire about a toilet's cleanliness.]

[ Oh, no! An NPC bandit has collided with you, either taking off with something "precious" of yours (preciousness may vary) or causing it to fall and roll away... towards a cute little pond. Or maybe you're just strolling about the Feywild this fairy tale land, on your merry way to the Ball or elsewhere, happening upon the same cute little pond while looking for a cute little scenario. ]

Hello, intrerpid— ribbit— princess or prince or adventurer...! What brings you to this lovely little pond?

[ Now where did that tiny voice come from? There's croak-like clearing of one's throat that can be heard coming from somewhere in that pond... where there is a lilac frog with flowers growing out of its skin sitting on a lily pad. ]

Down here! Hi!

[Phoenix was on his way to the ball when his carriage got stalled. While his drivers sort out fixing the wheel, Phoenix wanders around in his blue Cinderella ball gown.

(You'd think they'd have some kinda fairy roadside assistance)

It takes Phoenix a moment to realize someone's talking to him from the pond, and he looks down towards the source - seeing the cutest little frog. He gives a little wave.]
