WEEK FOUR MINGLE
ᯓ⭐ WEEK FOUR MINGLE
Heya, lovebirds! You're entering the final week and things sure are... great.
Right?
Well, whether you're feeling great or not, you're going to find yourself looking your best in formal wear this week! Suits, gorgeous dresses, fabulously outlandish outfits, you name it, you're stuck in it. No sweatpants or lab coats for anyone this week. We have standards.
And we also believe in telling the truth, one way or another!
That's right, if you're asked a question, any question at all, no matter how innocent or dire, you are compelled to speak your most truthful answer. It could be who you think is the hottest in the castle. It could be your opinion on orange juice. Whatever it is, there is no longer a brain-to-mouth filter in place!
And maybe you'll figure that out and all decide to be merciful, but Riri will be popping up every now and then. And Riri? Riri will not be merciful.
Except for one thing, and that's a note in the main room that states simply: You all suck at this, so this week, our good ol' lesbian duo can now speak normally. You're welcome. ♥

[After all, how is Mitrha even remotely compatible to him? Brenner doesn't think he is at all.]
I agree with you, though. I'd rather go with our 50-50 chance, because either way, we get a confirmation which we direly need.
no subject
Indeed. Between the hint we were given earlier, the blackout week, and that confirmation... we should have enough information to make an educated guess, at the very least.
It is unfortunate that some aspects will come down to a guess, but I suppose that is what keeps the audience engaged.
no subject
Because audiences like to see a trainwreck in real-time.
[ :') they're doing so badly it's truly disappointing.]
no subject
It truly is so irritating that it has come to this.
no subject
[Because people are stupid and this whole game is stupid and he's ready to be done with it at this point.]
If I'm to be honest, between the two Riri picks, I don't care which we send to the booth. The end result is the same [they get a verification] and we can go from there. The real challenge is sorting the remaining pairs.
A lot of the logic I'm here is hinging on myself and Mitrha being a true pair, as well. Let's just hope this doesn't trip us up later down the line.
no subject
As it is, if we take that assumption away, we will basically be picking at random again.
no subject
... ]
Fine. I don't like leaving anything to chance, given what we could all lose, but in lieu of there being no other way to verify a second pair right now... We'll operate on that assumption.
no subject
... Indeed.
no subject
Something else on your mind?
no subject
[They all tried so hard not to tip their hands or open their hearts until it was already too late.]
Well. Not that I am giving up. We will fight to the end, and find a way to win this outrageous game.
no subject
[It rankles him, really, to be. Bad at something. But they're definitely all bad at this, he can't deny that.]
If we don't win, no one is getting what they've lost back. No one's going to abide by that.
no subject
[Simply, calmly.]
Right now we are fighting on this front. If this fails, we will have to wage a battle on a more traditional front.
no subject
Not that Brenner. Disagrees. But what a headache that might be -- just punishment for their failure, in the end.]
Going to actual battle to reclaim what's ours. The logistics sound messy.
no subject
It makes sense to me, though.
[Perhaps Brenner is simply not very bright (no).]
no subject
Because we're opposites?
[If that's still his logic? If not, then enlighten him, sir.]
no subject
[At the heart of their supposed match, that's what he believes.]
You want everything to be under your control. I find it difficult to believe that someone like you would accept a decision made by somebody else on your behalf. In other words, the match determined by this show has no meaning for you.
[He folds his arms.]
It's the same for me; however, unlike you, I don't need another's strength in order to survive, nor do I care what others do.
no subject
no subject
I don't need everything to be under my control, though I do prefer being at the helm so nothing devolves into a mess like it has now.
[True opinions brought on by the truth effect, though perhaps he would have said something similar, anyway.]
I'm surprised, though, that via seeing one memory, you've managed to make this sweeping generalization about me.
no subject
It's more than the memory. You've been like this from the start.
no subject
no subject
no subject
Well. Forgive me for taking issue with the fact that your logic hinges on a perceived character fault.
no subject
You were the one who picked me first.
[If Brenner sees the argument as a character attack, that's his problem.]
no subject
...Except he has no argument for that.]
I'm not saying we aren't a pair. You're just both inscrutable and frustrating in the most tiring way possible, Mithra.
no subject
He reaches up to tug on his collar.]
. . . And you're an unpleasant man.
