WEEK FOUR MINGLE
ᯓ⭐ WEEK FOUR MINGLE
Heya, lovebirds! You're entering the final week and things sure are... great.
Right?
Well, whether you're feeling great or not, you're going to find yourself looking your best in formal wear this week! Suits, gorgeous dresses, fabulously outlandish outfits, you name it, you're stuck in it. No sweatpants or lab coats for anyone this week. We have standards.
And we also believe in telling the truth, one way or another!
That's right, if you're asked a question, any question at all, no matter how innocent or dire, you are compelled to speak your most truthful answer. It could be who you think is the hottest in the castle. It could be your opinion on orange juice. Whatever it is, there is no longer a brain-to-mouth filter in place!
And maybe you'll figure that out and all decide to be merciful, but Riri will be popping up every now and then. And Riri? Riri will not be merciful.
Except for one thing, and that's a note in the main room that states simply: You all suck at this, so this week, our good ol' lesbian duo can now speak normally. You're welcome. ♥

What do you mean by that?

normally, this is where oz offers the vague but truthful wizard response, processed slowly in his mind, curated. he still thinks about it because emotions are difficult, but what comes out is- ]
... There are fragments within you that remind me of someone I have known for millennia, and some fragments of you which echo myself. Where you have found your answer, I continue to seek it, though the method we used to reach for such a thing was similar. I wished to shift others and the world to fulfill something I could not find within myself.

oz just pauses, looking like someone kicked his dog, and the loudest crack of thunder sounds outside. ]
no subject
Mithra looks utterly scandalized—and disturbed.]
no subject
in a voice that manages to be threatening even as he carefully keeps it together: ]
Do not speak to me.
[ he has to still exist next to mithra for who knows how many more years.
do! not! speak! to! him! ]
no subject
Huh?
[Don't tell him what to do.]
no subject
oz returns mithra's look with a cold look of his own, the sounds of horrible weather outside calming slightly. ]
It is not the time.
no subject
After another moment of exchanging looks, Mithra turns away sharply.]
I don't need you to tell me that.
no subject
oz continues to stare even as mithra turns away, as they do. he's fully aware of that, and yet- ]
Then do not act in a way that requires me to say it.

gggRAAAAAHHHH ]

this time uroko doesn't blink slowly, but he does offer oz a drink? there's something weird in the air today. the clap of thunder is nice actually, he wouldn't mind going out to stand in the rain after this. ]
no subject
oz will take that drink, thank you, as another bit of thunder sounds less intense than the last. ]
no subject
The weather is odd today. [ does he mean that about the actual weather or what's going on in this meeting? yes. ]
no subject
[ that sure is a thing to say. oz is taking it as the first thing, and he's not explaining further. ]
no subject
It's my fault if it snows salt.
no subject
Which emotion would correspond with salty...?
[ his powers are feels controlled, please hold. ]
no subject
[ the sea god just going 😭😭😭😡😡😡 ]
no subject
"it would be better if you do not feel those things." oz is uncertain how to word that particular sentiment. ]
... Do not make it snow salt.
[ that's- that's what he comes up with. ]
no subject
Accidentally? I won't. On purpose? If the fish would survive it, I would have already turned the moat brackish.
no subject
I...see.
[ Except he doesn't really see, even if this is the most revealing thing he's heard from Oz so far. It's still rather unclear, and while he can see where he's coming from, he's not quite convinced. ]
I think your reluctance to admit even that much would make us a poor match, even that commonality notwithstanding.
[ He didn't even have to be truth-serumed to confess his sins! ]
no subject
this is where oz would stop speaking completely and leave, but he cannot. ]
... It is not the action I am reluctant to admit to.
[ but, ]
I will not argue against your view. There is validity within it.
