WEEK FOUR MINGLE
ᯓ⭐ WEEK FOUR MINGLE
Heya, lovebirds! You're entering the final week and things sure are... great.
Right?
Well, whether you're feeling great or not, you're going to find yourself looking your best in formal wear this week! Suits, gorgeous dresses, fabulously outlandish outfits, you name it, you're stuck in it. No sweatpants or lab coats for anyone this week. We have standards.
And we also believe in telling the truth, one way or another!
That's right, if you're asked a question, any question at all, no matter how innocent or dire, you are compelled to speak your most truthful answer. It could be who you think is the hottest in the castle. It could be your opinion on orange juice. Whatever it is, there is no longer a brain-to-mouth filter in place!
And maybe you'll figure that out and all decide to be merciful, but Riri will be popping up every now and then. And Riri? Riri will not be merciful.
Except for one thing, and that's a note in the main room that states simply: You all suck at this, so this week, our good ol' lesbian duo can now speak normally. You're welcome. ♥

It was intention to depart so you need not feel as you need to dismiss yourself. And, you are correct, I have no interest in speaking of what just occurred. I intended to take to the ramparts. It's quiet for the most part... And the stars, while foreign, are stagnant and still and make for good company.
If you wish to remain in my company I would not stop you... I could put tea on or something that suits your taste.
[They did talk about having a conversation before all of this occurred.]

it's fine. he can shake off the effects of using such minor magic. he'll simply try not to make it too obvious. ]
I... will have whatever you normally take.
[ he isn't terribly picky, given he just ate rocks for most of his early life. anyway. the silence sits for a moment more, oz picking through it to grasp at the words that best portray what's on his mind.
sometimes, this is simple. other times, like now, it's... he can't give the feelings within him a name. ]
You have lived longer than I. Have you looked at the stars all that time?

I have... Stars remain consistent and stagnant. While the landscape and the people around you change with the very seasons that which is in the sky remain a gentle constant. The patterns and shapes that they make, mapping out the various constellations, can be a comfort. Are a comfort, I should say.
It is more difficult to watch them now. Liyue Harbor has become big and glows warmly at night with lanterns and lights. The light from the city drowns out the twinkling lights above. But whenever I am in the country and find myself with time, as I often do these days, I enjoy their presence.
[He sets the kettle on to boil the water.]
From the Guili Plains to Mount Tianheng to the Guyun Stone Forest to Jueyun Karst... I have wandered every path of Liyue a thousand times over with naught but stars for company.

consistent and stagnant. something within his heart tugs at the phrase, and he can't quite recall a time he had seen the sky as a comfort. he looked to them, once... but they had only reached him for a moment, a second, through the apathy when they were moving, almost overwhelming as they fell towards the earth.
still, there was only himself. ]
... I do not understand what you see in that sky.
[ it's an honest admission, and he can say as much easily. there are many things he doesn't understand. ]
Though I see what such a sight might stir within you. A place of respite where you might anchor yourself, in order to continue living... It sounds as if it's that kind of scenery.

[The unrelenting march of time does not seem to touch the stars above and that is why they are comforting. They're in the same place as when he looked about them with Guizhong in the fiend of glaze lilies. And when he showed them to Azhdaha for the first time.]
To most I am sure stars are just stars.
