That's right, if you're asked a question, any question at all, no matter how innocent or dire, you are compelled to speak your most truthful answer. It could be who you think is the hottest in the castle. It could be your opinion on orange juice. Whatever it is, there is no longer a brain-to-mouth filter in place!

And maybe you'll figure that out and all decide to be merciful, but Riri will be popping up every now and then. And Riri? Riri will not be merciful.

Just handing us the same person a silver platter three weeks in a row would be too easy, though, wouldn't it?

[When she thinks about it, some of the roles don't make sense when paired together week after week at all.]

We could list them off and look for patterns. ...Ugh! But that's so time-consuming. [She's impatient, and they're trying to have a nice dinner without anyone getting into any arguments. The ambiance is supposed to be for bringing them together so maybe they can be more than just twelve strangers sharing a house for a few hours.]

[ Her eyes close, clearly taking the thought exercise seriously. Contrary to Manuela, having a new theory to think about puts her more at ease than just sitting here eating dinner like nothing's wrong. ]

The first one, I was a disciplinary captain. Then a singing mermaid. Then a mysterious immortal?

Perhaps the first was about what was most like us, then the second was meant to push us out of our comfort zones. I don't know about the third. [ a beat... ] I do think there's something there, about what scenarios were easiest to complete within our respective roles. I like order, so the first ones made sense. I have a hard time... "having fun," [ AS THE KIDS SAY ] so forcing me to sing could have been a hint about needing to be matched with someone more like that.

[Theories are fine and all, but she needs to think about the action that comes afterward, too. There's a dearth of that this early in the planning stage, it's a little less appealing.]

... I don't know if that fits either, with the first week at least. I was a studious young lady who people only realized was beautiful if I removed my glasses. Can you believe that?
